The Solid Surface is an artificial material with great versatility. Its composition of a perfect mix of natural minerals and artificial polymers makes it malleable and adaptable to any solution.

Solid Surface is supplied in slabs of varying thicknesses that are processed by skilled craftsmen and are termoformate, cut and joined to form unique, functional solutions with great visual impact.

Solid Surface Brands

Solid Surface is not a single product but a collection of materials that are called differently depending on the manufacturer and the particular composition.
The best known materials on the market are Corian DuPont, the Krion, the Betaryl, Hi-Macs and Staron, different names that identify materials that are not the same but which nevertheless have common characteristics.

Corian®: suitable for designer furniture, kitchen worktops and modern bathroom furniture. It has the same qualities as stone surfaces, but with the considerable advantage that it can be produced in any shape.

Krion®: produced by Systempool, a company of the Porcelanosa Group, with the special feature of being pore-free, antibacterial properties and easy to clean. It has a strong resistance to adverse weather conditions and is therefore used as an outdoor material.

Staron®: used for interior design projects and furniture creation. The main characteristics of the material are its strength, pleasantness to the touch, non-flammability and ease of cleaning. Available in a wide range of colours.

BETACRYL®: is a Solid Surface manufactured from aluminium hydroxide, acrylic resin and natural colour pigments. The resulting compound is characterised by excellent mechanical strength, hygiene, suitability for food contact, impermeability and colour stability over time.

HI-MACS®: Manufactured by LG Hausys, it offers an elegant appearance combined with a surface that resists all kinds of wear and tear, turning kitchen countertops, workbenches and more into multifunctional surfaces.
